Feldspar is the name given to a group of minerals distinguished by the presence of alumina and silica in their chemistry. Feldspar is a common raw material used in glassmaking, ceramics, and to some extent as a filler and extender in paint, plastics, and rubber. Feldspar is of widespread occurrence and mines in almost all countries.

Peldspar refers to a number of minerals in the feldspar group, and containing potassium: Orthoclase, an important tectosilicate mineral that forms igneous rock. Potassium feldspars are a significant component of many felsic igneous rocks used as decorative building stones. Potash Feldspar is one of the most important materials for medium and high temperature ceramic glazes. The chemical composition of feldspar grains (also known as Potassium Feldspar) is obtained by means of electron microprobe analyzes performed on thin sections.

Feldspar is generally used:

  • In the preparation of glazes and enamel.
  • As an important ingredient in the glass sand batch.
  • As a bonding agent in the manufacture of bonded abrasives.

We are the leading manufacturer, exporter and wholesale supplier of Feldspar.
